Pensacola is known mostly for its rich history and beautiful sugar-white sand beaches. Known as “The City of Five Flags” due to the five governments “Spain, France, Great Britain, the United States of America, and the Confederate States of America” that have ruled the city. It is also known as the “Cradle of Naval Aviation” because it is one of the first Naval Aviation training facilities in the United States of America. Naval Air Station Pensacola is home to the US Navy Blue Angels.
